Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Nice place to watch the game and grab a bite. Pizza by the slice at the bar is the way to go. It's nice and crunchy. Try the mushrooms, there canned and seasoned really well. The chicken and veal parm is really good too, pounded thin and fried to perfection. I wish the meatballs were better however. There really hard and taste like moms leftover meatloaf. You can do better.

Grande is a casual Italian eatery with linoleum floors and bright red booths lining the walls. The pizza is good, and reminds me of pizza I ate as a kid...neither thin nor thick crusted, with a simple red sauce and just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The salads are made with iceberg lettuce, but I still like them...again, a bit of a throwback, but fresh and tasty, with a good italian dressing. I've had the lasagne and that's good too; nothing to write home about, but satisfying. The menu is straight-forward and uncomplicated, and sometimes I'm in just the right mood for this type of somewhat nostalgic food. Service is always good here, hitting just the right note between friendly/relaxed and professional. People return here, and the staff remembers them, so it has that neighborhood feel that so many places are missing. I've ordered my food to go on a few occasions, but the food always tastes better when I sit down and order in, probably because I just like the vibe here.

Greatest pizza in town. Great service from Becky too.

If I could give this no stars I would! The flies all over the place were bad, but it was the dead spider in my ice water that threw me for a loop... Needless to say, we didn't stick around after that.

My husband and I went there for the first time last night, we got pasta dinners with soup and rolls..Wow is all I have to say.. Was not disappointed at all! My shrimp Alfredo was unbelievable.. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, very flavorful, and the Alfredo sauce was so damn good! I haven't had this great of pasta since my Italian grandmother would make it for me, about 10 years ago. I can't stand Olive Garden and just recently tried Vincent's in south point, and they are horrible! They should t even be allowed to call themselves an Italian restaurant! The only downfall about grande's, is it is out dated and does need a major scrubbing! It's not so gross u can't eat there tho. We will definitely be back and can't wait to try their pizza!

The Grande Italian Restaurant has a great grilled chicken salad with homemade balsamic dressing. The pizza has a nicely done crust with adequate toppings. The breadsticks were crisp and tasty. And lastly the prices were fair.

Surprised to see so many tables and a nice casual restaurant, was expecting more of a take out place. The floors are a nice sealed cement and the walls have some nice wood wainscot. The place was crowded at lunch time. We had a large piece of pizza, mine with pepperoni, the other with sausage. The sausage is a sliced sausage, not crumbled as most pizza parlors. However, the sausage was pretty none disrupt, not much flavor just lacking that Italian sausage flavor. The pepperoni was good. The crust is what I call a medium thickness and cooked perfectly. A pretty good piece of pizza.

Good food and better service. One of the few sit down pizza (and Italian) places in the area that you can actually sit down at and not spend $20 for a pizza. My son cautions, "it's not bake ziti, it's baked penne." Order at your own risk. :)

Do they even make any of their own food??? The spaghetti sauce is clearly from a jar and the mozzarella sticks are the frozen kind from a box. They must buy all their food from the Kmart next door and serve it. I had the veal parm and it wasn't terrible. There are tons of other Italian restaurants in the area. I will try all of them before I go to Grande's again.

Great place to grab a slice of pizza. Pizza slices are big and prices are low. Very nice beer selection and many drink specials. Bartenders are fun and friendly and always keep your drinks full. Great place to grab a slice and watch the big game. Ask for Britney

I have only ordered pizza through take-out so I can't comment on sit-down service. The pizza I order is always delicious and I suggest getting garlic bread with cheese instead of bread sticks. The sticks are so-so but their garlic bread is amazing. When ordering over the phone you may get a busy signal so give them a minute and call back and speak up as its hard for them to hear you in the cramped kitchen. Always friendly service when picking up my order and theirs is one of my favorite pizza's around.

The white cheese pizza had so much cheese on it it could have choked a thoroughbred. The service was less than substantial, and that's coming from a very sympathetic former waitress. I ate one slice of the pizza my daughter and I intended to share, she are one bite; we left left the rest of it to sit in the cigarette scented den where it was spawned. I will never waste my time, money, or appetite here again.

So disappointed. I used to go there all the time and then the staff changed. The service and food went downhill after that. So it had been a couple of years so I thought I would give them another try. What a mistake! It took forever to be waited on and that continued throughout the night. Several tables that entered and placed orders after us, were leaving before we were even served. We ordered pizza with 2 toppings. We eventually received a pizza with no toppings. However we were charged for 2 toppings. Then when we went to leave and pay it appears the waitress added the bill incorrectly and undercharged us. The owner - who also makes the pizzas - had no problem catching the mistake and correcting the charge but couldn't manage to find the toppings we ordered and still charged us for them. We will never return. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
